The
main inspiration for my Lab paintingsmy constant
companion..Sophie. She
was a gift from my husband just
8 weeks after my parents passed 6 days apart so Im sure they had a
hand in picking her for me. From
the start we bondedshe sat beside me on the couch and shared my
lunch..(the practice continues..on vacations without her Im amazed
at finishing a whole meal)..she kissed my face when I was sad
and did silly butt tucks around the yard to make me laugh. Sophie
would not have made a good guide dog, she is afraid of noises, wary of
shadows, but will let me know if theres someone she doesnt
trust..I trust her instincts.I have found shes a lot like
mea mirror imagetaking one step forward in life and a couple
back..so together we started agility training!!!!
It took awhile but when I started to feel confident in what I was
doing so did she! We
did our first trial together this past year and the new equipment scared
her , I laughed and hugged her and our second try she did
terrific.together we had a new confidence in our lives. So
I will continue to capture her in paint for those of you who live
with a furkid I know you understand my heart..and for those who
live with a Lab. you understand how she captured my heart.
